I am Christopher Copley, a senior Finance major and Law and Policy minor at Baruch College. I already have a degree in History, with a minor in Statistics, from the University of Central Florida. Before coming back to school, I was studying for an MA in Ancient History and I taught Latin for three years.
My current career goals center on working in a large investment bank and focusing on capital structuring, although I certainly plan to explore a variety of areas. I am fascinated with the idea of building a business from scratch and turning it into a profitable enterprise.
As I stated in class, I am a massive supporter of the London soccer club Arsenal. I have been to the stadium a few times, but I have yet to see a match in person. I love to debate about the sport and its future both in the US and Europe. In fact, my "$20 million dream" would be to purchase a small British club and lead it into a new era of success.
I am also an avid backpacker. I spent two summers going across Europe and the Middle East, including a 6-week Study Abroad Program in Rome. My picture is from Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, Scotland.
